Howdy Texbirds,

Hutton's Vireos:

Birded this morning with Kathy Bader in search of Golden-cheeks without
luck, but counted 21 Hutton's Vireos between Kickapoo Cavern State Park and
Dobbs Run Ranch this morning (Kinney and Edwards Counties). These guys are
staging a massive population increase in this region, and it's no wonder
they showed up down at Fort Clark this winter... they ran out of room on
the plateau! Otherwise, we enjoyed some Bushtits and a Louisiana
Waterthrush.

Ravens:
Anyone know of a good guide or reference for which raven is default in
various regions across the state? Or, how reliable are vocalizations for
identification?

Good birding!
