Greetings All: I spent a big chunk of Labor Day exploring Bailey, Cochran, and Hockley Counties. Shorebirding has definitely improved in the region with our western counties featuring playas with enough water to attract birds and enough dry down to let them forage. I had no Lubbock or Hockley County highlights on the way out in the morning. Lamb County highlights all came during a stop to look at 4 Black Terns over Bull Lake - this stop also kicked out 1 Western Wood Pewee and 1 male Western Tanager.
