Greetings All:
August finally produced a new bird for the 2016 yardlist when I spotted a
Gray Catbird (second ever for the yard) in my mimosa trees. As I continued
with my marathon spot-watering session (Lubbock, somehow, got missed in the
weekend's rain events) it moved to a brush pile I have built up for wrens
and sparrows and, as it happens, catbirds.
This kind of makes up for Kostecke scoring a Pyrrhuloxia in his yard this
year:)
Still hoping for a Broad-tailed Hummingbird to hit the feeders. I've had
them on the TTUHSC campus and in Hockley County - just can't seem to get
one in the yard this year:(
