Lasers require fairly warm temperatures to 'laze' properly. It may be that the 
cool weather is affecting the perceived performance.

I have been pretty dissatisfied with laser pointers through the years.  Noe
of them have lasted very long.
Anyone have a brand/model that HAS lasted?  TIA
