Finally a day with very little morning rain for Bahia Grande but still no
sunshine; however, we managed to tally 50 species.
The Aplomado Falcon was successfully located near the nest platform at the
Tower Gate first thing.
Cassin's Sparrow are skylarking and singing making them easy targets.
We were successful with White-tailed Hawk and Kite.
Shorebirds were uncooperative, either too far away for details or nonstop.
The large raft of Red-breasted Merganser appeared to be in a feeding
frenzy. Still some other ducks in the area, but also very far away this
morning.
Only 1 more week of birding tours left for this season. Tours Thursday -
Monday 8:30 - 12, Friday 1 PM alternating between Bahia Grande and Laguna
Atascosa.
