Hi all,
It was another delightful day out in the refuge, very pleasant in the
morning fog but warmly quickly as the sun came out. Some highlights were
nice looks at SORA and VIRGINIA RAIL, a pair of WHITE TAILED KITES and two
pair of ALTAMIRA ORIOLES, cooperative OLIVE SPARROWS, three TRI-COLORED
HERONS and my favorite, two VERDINS right at the end of the walk. See our
full list below.
Please note that tomorrow, *Tuesday, January 3, the bird walk will start at
10:00 am* in order to accommodate a staff and volunteer meeting. Meet at
the Visitor Center. On Wednesday we will return to our normal schedule of
bird walks every day of the week at 8:30 am. Come join us!
