An afternoon butterfly trip to Frontera Audubon Thicket in Weslaco turned up more birds than butterflies. A Zone-tailed Hawk was at its usual perch in the trees across the pond in the neighbor's yard. A Ringed Kingfisher made lots of noise. The beautiful Malachite continues along the trail through the Sabal Palms.
