Good morning birders!
With the cooler, cloudy weather, our expectations were low, BUT were we
surprised. Hiking to Pintail Lakes first, we were serenaded by a constant
stream of Oriole whistle songs, and when we found them, it was like seeing
Christmas ornaments - they were everywhere. Joining them and adding to the
color were Northern Cardinals, Green Jays, and Long-billed Thrashers. What a
show they shared - we almost didn't get out to Pintail.
Come join the fun - bird walks leave the Visitor's Center at 8:30am
daily.
