Good afternoon, birders.
What a beautiful day to bird in Santa Ana NWR! It is certainly
springtime, and the Chachalaca, as well as others are singing throughout the
refuge. Highlights today were a Zone-tailed Hawk, great looks at a Northern
Beardless-Tyrannulet, and even a Bronzed Cowbird made an appearance.
Bird walks continue daily through March, leaving the Visitor's Center
at 8:30 am. Hawk Watch continues daily from 8am - 1pm on the levee through
April 15.
