Tuesday, in our yard from 11:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.,  I observed 17 warbler
species and 22 other migrants.  My favorite was the Wood Thrush. Today,
Wednesday, Scarlet Tanager and Eastern Kingbird were added to the list. I
had excellent views as the birds enjoyed the "in the ground birdbath" that
also has a substantial drip. Hummingbirds did drip fly-throughs.
Warblers included:
Blue-winged, Tennessee, Kentucky, Canada, Magnolia, Ovenbird,
Yellow-breasted Chat, Common Yellow-throat, Bay-breasted, Chestnut-sided,
Black and White, Nashville, American Redstart, Blackburnian, N.
Waterthrush, Yellow, Wilson's.

Other species:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, White-eyed Vireo, Blue-headed
Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Indigo Bunting, Summer Tanager, Baltimore Oriole,
Orchard Oriole, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Wood Thrush, Veery, Swainson's
Thrush, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Gray Catbird, Blue Grosbeak, Painted Bunting,
Acadian Flycatcher, Eastern Wood Peewee, Lincoln Sparrow. Plus, in the pond
were Wilson's Phalarope and Dunlin.  Also, although not a migrant, seeing
Bobwhite is always great.

The property is very close to the Laguna Madre and not far south of the
Kenedy Causeway.
