Stopped by Dos Vacas Muerte for a couple of hours late of afternoon birding on
my way to Jamaica Beach. It did not disappoint: Kentucky, Worm Eating, Hooded,
Blue Winged warblers, Common Yellow Throat, Northern Parulas and best of all a
Swainsons Warbler that worked the leaf litter behind the first drip until being
scared off by a Thrush. Two Wood Thrush, one Swainsons Thrush, multiple Summer
and Scarlet Tanagers, Red Eyed Vireos, Swamp and Lincoln Sparrows as well as
Baltimore Orioles.
