I got to enjoy the Nature Conservancy's Davis Mountains Preserve during their
open weekend on Friday before the rainy cold front blew through. Interesting
birds reported included White-eared, Calliope and Lucifer Hummingbirds, Acorn
Woodpecker, Plumbeous and Hutton's Vireos, Tropical Parula, Townsend's,
Grace's, Virginia's and MacGillivray's Warblers, Painted Redstart, Mountain
Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, Steller's Jay, Gray Flycatcher,
Black-chinned and Rufous-crowned Sparrows, and Western and Hepatic Tanagers.
Some photos are on my blog.
