Greetings,
Yesterday at dusk I had a Common Nighthawk at a local birding site known as the
Erskine marsh. It flew overhead, giving me a clear look at the long sweptback
wings with white patches and white-barred notched tail. The only thing that
would make me more confident of the identification would have been for it to
have called, which it didn’t.
