This morning I visited Hagerman NWR (Grayson County). Among the 70+
species I observed, I found a single drake COMMON GOLDENEYE. Looking at
the eBird list for the refuge, the only other May record was from 1980. I
got distant but diagnostic photos and will attach them to my eBird report
later, but wanted to get the word out in case anyone was interested in
finding it. The bird was observed from Wildlife Rd and was just out from
the Q Pad, fairly close to shore but quite distant from Wildlife Rd.
