[texbirds] Clapp Park visit today

Greetings All:
Three of us (Jim Crites, William Wenthe, and myself) spent two hours at
Clapp Park (Lubbock) this afternoon. There was approximately five inches of
snow on the ground, the playa was iced over, and things were not anywhere
close to as warm as predicted. We spotted 21 species - highlights are in
bold.

1 Ring-billed Gull
9 Rock Pigeons
10 Eurasian Collared Doves
1 White-winged Dove
*1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker*
3 Blue Jays
13 American Robins
1 Northern Mockingbird
1 European Starling
*2 Cedar Waxwings*
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler
2 Spotted Towhees
31 Song Sparrows
1 Lincoln's Sparrow
1 Swamp Sparrow
1 Dark-eyed Junco
1 Red-winged Blackbird
12 Great-tailed Grackles
1 American Goldfinch
1 House Sparrow
