Brush's bird at LAX is a Hwamei, a type of laughinthrush. *Leucodioptron canorum* (previously *Garrulax canorus*) There's an endemic Hwamei on Taiwan, but it doesn't look like that one. Looks more like the Chinese Hwamei, which is a very common caged bird in Asia, including Taiwan. C-T Lee Houston
