Yesterday (04/13), I had 14 species of Warblers at Blucher Park; highlighted by
Blue-winged, Worm-eating, Black-throated Green, Yellow-throated, Hooded, and
Yellow-breasted Chat. Also, male Painted Bunting, and male Blue Grosbeak.
Numerous Great-crested Flycatchers, and a vocal Acadian Flycatcher. Brown
Thrasher still present as well.
During a later afternoon visit to Blucher, my wife Libby also had Ovenbird,
Summer Tanager, and Baltimore Oriole.
Polywog hosted male and female Scarlet Tanagers, Orchard Oriole, Northern
Parula, along with Tennessee and Nashville Warblers.
Local Swainson's Hawks are pretty much dominating the Raptor action at Polywog.
Also of note, for the past several days, a large flock of Cedar Waxwings have
been observed at Polywog - at least 250 Birds - the largest flock this
Birdwatcher has ever seen.
