area now completely surrounded on all sides by cookie cutter houses 5' feet
apart with the ubiquitous Bradford Pear or Crepe Myrtle in those tiny front
front lawns and wooden privacy fences.... Ours is a big fine lot with big
old oaks etc. That is the venue. So this afternoon in the midst of all
this urban mess, a male Black-and-white Warbler graced our back yard and
even came briefly to water. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for
such bird to be in this mess now unless it is either a migrant or a victim
of a displaced desire to disperse. So goes the BAWW so goes the GCWA, me
thinks
