Hello there,
I spent the morning birding some spots in Blanco County this morning trying to
work on my county list. Birded Pedernales Falls SP, Yaeger Creek Road, Middle
Creek Rd (CR 410), and Blanco SP. Both state parks were pretty quiet, but I had
a really good time birding the two smaller county roads. Along Yaeger Creek Rd
I found a family of Cactus Wrens, many Bell’s Vireos, 4 Vermilion Flycatchers,
4 Wild Turkeys (in two separate groups), a Traill’s Flycatcher, and a Verdin.
Middle Creek Rd was pretty slow except for the main creek crossing. I whistled
a screech owl and many songbirds came in including a family of phoebes, 3
Yellow-throated Vireos, 2 Red-eyed Vireos, and an Orchard Oriole pair.

Good birding,
