All, Beautiful afternoon today in San Antonio. Took the day off and spent a few hours at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center. Best find was a Baird's Sandpiper, got great looks at it with my scope and a very cooperative bird. Other enjoyable sightings for me were a pair of Curve-billed Thrashers - such orange eyes - and a whole flock of White Pelicans with plumed heads and crests forming on their bills, all lined up on a log in the sun.
