Hi, all!
On Saturday, October 28th, the Birder Patrol will be making a return visit
to a private residence at the Progresso Lakes in Hidalgo County. (During
Hawk migration, the owner counted in excess of 30,000 Turkey Vultures and
18,000 Broad-winged Hawks from his property.)
There will be two meeting sites for carpooling: the Stripes gas station
located at the corner of FM 1015 and Military Highway (Hwy 281) south of
Weslaco will be the final gathering site at 7:45 AM. Folks closer to
Harlingen can meet at the AT&T parking lot at the corner of Bass Pro Drive
and West Harrison, and plan to leave that site to meet the other group NLT
7:15. There are some chairs at the residence, but bringing your own may be
helpful.
The fee of $5.00 supports the Arroyo Colorado Audubon educational programs.
