Good evening Texbirders, Below is a combined list of birds seen today during the Hawk Watch, the morning Bird Walk, and an afternoon Nature Tour. Signs of spring migration were evident during the Hawk Watch with over 120 Swainson's Hawk counted and several Scissor-tailed Flycatchers were seen gracefully flying by the Hawk Tower. Highlights for the day include close looks at a Zone-tailed Hawk from the Hawk Tower, an Elf Owl spotted in a tree cavity off the Kiskadee Trail across from the Kiskadee Blind, a White-tailed Kite hovering across from the Kingfisher Overlook, and hearing the call of the Northern Beardless-Tyrannulet near the Nature Center as well as on Kiskadee Trail.
