Good afternoon,

Despite the cooler temperatures today, the bird walk had a couple
surprises. The La Parida Resaca at the Kingfisher overlook was quite
active this morning with several Forster's Terns, a couple of Mottled
Ducks, plenty of herons including a Little Blue Heron, and both
Cormorants were visible together for comparison. The Hawk Watch was
pretty slow but good looks at a perched Gray Hawk are always welcomed.
There has also been a pair of Hooded Orioles seen at the bus
turn-a-round (across the street from the visitor's parking lot) taking
advantage of the Coral Bean blossoms.

Have a wonderful week!
