We had a good day conducting the monthly bird count at the Baytown Nature
Center. Three observers counted 53 species. The best bird of the day was an
Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warbler seen at an old home site along the shore of
Burnet Bay.

We conduct the monthly bird counts on the 3rd Thursday of the month and
meet in the parking lot behind the entrance building just before 8:00 AM.
Entrance fees are waived for bird count participants. Our next count will
be on March 15, 2018.
