.
I spent 3 plus hours at the golf course watching for for STKIs without
luck...Others came came and went. This area is loaded with Mississippi
Kites and we saw a number of those. Giving up and with other things to
do, I left and headed west into the Colorado River Refuge upstream. There
I did see a single STKI briefly heading down stream south of the river but
it was out of sight when I went back for others. So they are still about. A
golfer mentioned to us that he had been seeing them.
I left as others were still looking so maybe there will be other updates.
I have a Buff-bellied Hummingbird here at the cabin. Turks-caps and
varioous salvias are blooming which draws my hummers away from the feeders.
