I didn't have any luck at the Shin Oak observatory today, but did see some
on the Doeskin Ranch portion of the refuge. We had them on the plateau
potion: Rimrock and Shin Oak trails. That's a long drive from Austin
proper- though the toll road gets you there quicker. Go for brunch instead.

next most likely bird I am missing is yellow billed cuckoo. Any input on
locations for one or any other local specialty would be
greatly appreciated.
