Hi, all! Birded the above areas this morning, the highlight being a Zone-tailed Hawk at Anzalduas, or at least what I'm assuming is a Zonie: perhaps due to wear, the bird had some brownish tones, and rather than looking black with white bands, the tail from underneath looked pale with darker bands, with a thicker terminal band (the bird was perched). He showed some minor white flecking on the head, but was entirely dark otherwise; wings were too short for either an all-dark Whitetail or a Swainson's. Perhaps it was a juvenile; don't know what else it would be. A Swainson's Hawk being chased by some swallows was also interesting!
