Solar heating brought on a rash of "popcorn" thundershowers" across much of southern Texas and SW Louisiana. Presently (4 p.m.) arriving migrants are being observed at all western Gulf stations. The showers pose no big barrier to arriving migrants but may put birds down locally. Between now and Thursday situations like this will keep migrants present in coastal stop-overs until the next (strong) cold front. John C.
