Orange-crowned, Nashville, Yellow, American Redstart, Tennessee Warblers,
Yellow-breasted Chat, Swainson's Thrush, Gray Catbirds, Blue-headed Vireos,
White-eyed Vireos, Least Flycatcher, Summer Tanager, Indigo & Painted Buntings,
Dickcissel's, ~60 species, but again, lots of visitors and only 1 checklist and
none ebirded, plus I continue to have problems with people signing
in--frustrating to share your property and ask for people to sign in and leave
a list and at the end of the day, few do. Last Saturday, we were out of
parking several times and ~30 visitors and we ended up with 2 checklists and
only a handful signed in and a $5 bill donated in the donation box. Spring
Migration is such fun--lots of birders show up only then and fun to see.
Today, we had Daniel Large visit to see the Striped Coral-root Orchid and many
of you will remember him as the wonderful child birder that San Antonio Audubon
welcomed and he was always impressive and it was fun to see him as an adult.
He is getting ready to go to Cornell University for Grad school in
Environmental Studies. Cornell is lucky to have him! Warbler Woods Bird
