This amazing, innovative device is halfway between a PDA and a laptop,
combining the best features of each. Among the bold new initiatives
planned for Tablet PC are storing user's handwritten notes as electronic
ink (rather than using Graffiti or other pen input technologies),
wireless networking, built-in email and fax capability, a full-fledged
operating system with tightly integrated application components, a weight
of less than 2 pounds, an optional serial keyboard, and may even have a
microphone and a speaker for audio input and output!

Observation attributed to Prof. Robert Wilensky of the University of
California at Berkeley:

"We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters
will eventually reproduce the works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the
Internet, we know this is not true."
