Hi Richard,
     Looking through Z-Tips, the model should be a ZB2794BG with a C3S
chassis. The problem you are having is probably the PIP module. Your can
bypass the PIP module by jumping the 4 pin cable (usually a grey cable) back
to the main board. Greg

Subject: [TechAssist] zenith-9-1094-intermittant video

Hello all
 This set has a 9-1094 main board , a 9-1092 smps, and a 9-1084 pip, with a
bose audio system built in. it is a big 27" console. The model # is nowhere
to be found. The video gets completley modulated over to the point that you
cant see anything but very small dashes with tearing. as soon as you change
a channel it clears up.I tried the video input and still the same through a
vcr. I bypassed the pip module and still same. Never saw this before. It
looks like somebody has a cb radio hooked up to the antenna. I know its not
in the rf because it happens when you play a tape through the video input as
well. It's a very touchy condition because anything you do to interrupt the
video corrects it. There are no bad connections. the 9-1094 is nla and I was
hoping somebody had a fix. TIA
