Jeff, I'm Jerry, nice to meet everybody. I've had other units with the same kind of problem. Never could be quite sure it was the shadow mask, and it always bothered me. I thought I would get some other opinions. Thanks for the advice. I've tried each one of your techniques, and I can't remove the distorted colors. I'm going to write this one off. Thanks again for everyone's help.....Jerry In a message dated 12/30/01 7:29:52 AM US Mountain Standard Time, jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx writes: > [You know our name...what's yours?] > You didn't forget to gradually move the coil away from the set, did you? > Start at a distance of 6 ft, or so, move close, then move about 6ft from > the > set, unplug the coil. > > Jeff > HAPPY HOLIDAYS:PEACE ON EARTH > mailto:Jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.9-11-2001tragedy.com > FAX 1-413-280-0677 > Intrepid Video & Electronics > Harrisburg, PA 17111 > 717-909-8844 > www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net www.thetoolcaddy.com > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <knitrngr65@xxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, December 29, 2001 9:53 PM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: toshiba cf27h50 shadow mask > > > > Bill, > > > > I like your experiment, but it didn't work.
