I paid Robert at Philips tech assist "900" tech about fifteen bucks to tell me R818 is a 10 ohm 1watt,and to change C811 (1.5mfd)cap as precaution. I also changed the power transistor mentioned, Q803 (which tested good) because R818 went to it's emitter. Powered it up,about the same side -distortion (and a vert retrace at top),with a hot smell. R818 was very hot. I am at a loss. I need help.Philips are, aparently not "up" on this chassis.
