HI Barry
the 12 volts you are seeing on the 2700 is normal..If you disconnect
the receiver from the ac supply and re connect you will see the 18 volts.
The regulator which is on an heatsink in front will switch after the
data is downloaded
back to the idling current of 12 volts. Works ok.
