okay, i'm an idiot. The +33V is the tuning voltage, that seems to work okay when i let the set look for channels. So the tuner isn't the problem. Now where is the PAL decoder on these sets? any help, please? tia Stefaan Van Slycken Van Slycken Elektro - Waasmunster, Belgium. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stefaan Van Slycken" <vanslycken@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, May 23, 2003 6:14 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: philips MD1.2 bad tuning - update I found the tuner did not get +33V (it was only about 15V). Removing the tuner resulted in the +33V returning to normal value. I tried to put some load (a 330k resistor) on that power supply line and that didn't drop the voltage, so i gather it's a bad tuner. Tomorrow i get a new one and i'll inform you guys. When I work with the SCART inputs everything is OK, so I'm looking in the direction of the tuner. Does anybody have a pinout for that tuner (UV916, philips # 210.10691) or the schematic for the tuner section? thanks in advance!
