okay, i'm an idiot. The +33V is the tuning voltage, that seems to work okay
when i let the set look for channels. So the tuner isn't the problem. Now
where is the PAL decoder on these sets? any help, please?

I found the tuner did not get +33V (it was only about 15V). Removing the
tuner resulted in the +33V returning to normal value. I tried to put some
load (a 330k resistor) on that power supply line and that didn't drop the
voltage, so i gather it's a bad tuner. Tomorrow i get a new one and i'll
inform you guys.

Hi group
Philips MD1.2 gives a very distorted image (hardly any sync, no
distinguishable image) and sound cutting out. When I work with the SCART
inputs everything is OK, so I'm looking in the direction of the tuner. Does
anybody have a pinout for that tuner (UV916, philips # 210.10691) or the
schematic for the tuner section?

thanks in advance!
