Dont have the Dick Smith, but my various Sencore ringers usually indicate zero or maybe 1 on the small winding, but give readings of 20 to 30 on the main windings of good units. Dont know what I would read on a bad one as I have never had a bad one that was not obvious without ringing. ----- Original Message ----- From: Andrew Soltes <atv2@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, July 31, 2005 6:20 PM Subject: [TechAssist] dick smith lopt/fbt ringer > hello everyone > i have a question the dick smith lopt / fbt ringer. should you be able to ring a switch mode xformer down to the smallest winding . > thanks for any input > Andy > Andy's TV & VCR Service > 662 McKean Ave > Donora,Pa. 15033 > 724-379-8559 voice/fax > atv2@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- > This Email List is Public.
