How clean do you keep your DVD's and how about the customer...I know that's
a pretty obvious dumb question......

Subject: [TechAssist] Yamaha DVD odd problem

| Yamaha Model DVS5450 customer says skips through all CD's, I cleaned it,
| lubed rails, let it play through a movie, sent it home with her, came
back
| 3 days later doing same thing, this time I just hooked it up and let it
| play 2 days straight on repeat mode, never saw even a hiccup, I'm
| authorized to repair this through extended warranty for 150.00 I can
| probably replace entire unit for that, and make a profit, if its
compatible
| with there system which is YHT34, anyone know if a Yamaha is a Yamaha as
| far as using there cabling system and single remote that runs it all ? or
a
| solution to my problem, how do you adjust these things ? I've ordered
one
| laser for a combo unit and had a heck of a time getting it to line up,
| still not satisfied with it. I usually turn down dvd's but this one may be
a
| profit job, its a little different because of it being part of a 1200.00
| system ! appreciate any help or advise, or if any of you Yamaha asc's
have
| a replacement, lets talk
