Hi Ron, The XP Pro CD will display your current system (Me), and let you format it. Select NTFS. It is a much more stable file system. Carefully follow the instructions as the CD boots up. Select Setup, etc. You can keep Me if you want, and create a second partition for XP. XP and 2000 automatically create a boot menu when you do this. You simply use the down arrow to select the second OS when you boot up (either OS can be set as the first selection). One advantage to doing this is that any files that are on C drive will still be there and can easily be copied over to the second drive (when you are booted to XP). Unfortunately XP will likely end up as Drive F or G - and there is a fix for this, setting it to drive D, if you wish - should be done before installing any programs. Later on Me can be replaced with Windows 2000, another copy of XP or even 98. When you crash, and are able to boot the other OS, it's real handy. -- Best regards, Bil Green 2001 TV VCR Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546 760-934-2001 mailto:tv.vcrrepair@xxxxxxxxxxx Sunday, August 10, 2003, 8:42:57 AM, you wrote: RMdbaCT> How much room does xp pro OS need?
