Ron: I put one in a PTV836 the other day. I got one from Philips because I
needed 2 other ICs I could find only from them. However, the optocoupler is
identified on the PTV836 schematic as a 6N136 (Which comes up on the NTE
index as a NTE3092) My original (& the Philips replacement) were marked (On
the device) as a CNW136. However, I see no reason why an NTE3092 shouldn't
sub.
