[TechAssist] Vir*s info..was.. Re-Problem with Address Hijacking

People have to remember, any anti-vir*s is only as good as the user. If you
don't update it, you won't
be protected against current threats.
I have gotten many infected emails that Norton didn't catch. When I received
some of them, Norton didn't
even have the updates, yet.
COMMON SENSE is all you need.
Many of these infected emails make no sense in the message body, a red flag
right there. Many more come
from people I don't even know...another red flag. And the rest have one of the
familiar extensions vir*ses
always use.
If people would just look before they leap and go opening this stuff..these
infections would slow down..
Allen...did you read this??????????
Seems I post this same message every month, or two, but there are still people
that can't grasp this.
Just because Norton, McAfee, Grisoft didn't say it was an infected attachment,
does NOT mean it is safe to
open.

I certanly can believe that Norton didn't take care of him. I had problems
with Norton about four years
ago. I had installed it and updated. A a couple of days later I was zapped
with the Nimda virus. Norton
claimed I needed to upgrade to a newer version and it would cost another $27.
I informed them to go F***
themselves. I uninstalled it and returned it to the computer store that sold
it to me.
The rest is history.
