This is a 4 year old 50" projection TV. When the power button is
pressed I can hear the HV come up and then the set goes into shutdown.
The power light then flashes off and on. I tested for obvious shorts in
the convergence, vertical, horizontal and audio circuits and found none.
Does anyone have any experience with this newer chassis? Thanks.

I also removed the chassis and in doing so the screen wire, going from
the HV splitter to the focus block, broke inside the HV splitter. I
should have cut the screen wire, but I now know for next time. The
screen wire gets pushed into the splitter and then a spring connector
grabs onto it. How do I dig out the wire left in the splitter? It
hasn't been a good last 3 days. Thanks.
