Just wanted to pass something along for some of you guys that may run into some of these newer Toshiba. I had a 36" in yesterday with "No Blue" Found Q905 shorted which is the Blue Drive. I replaced it, and restored my 182 volts to the collector which feed thru a resistor directly to KB of the CRT (Blue). I checked right to the CRT socket and found about 180 volts there. Don't let this throw you in your Servicing...there is a 1K resistor between Collector and Blue Cathode, (R903), and unless you actually remove the CRT board from the CRT you will see 180 volts on the other side of that resistor. I got this directly from Toshiba...and I'msure it will relate to your R or G also. Mark it down in yur book. Anyway...replaced R903 (1K..1/4 watt)...Problem solved. Toshiba figures that this gun may have shorted taking these components out, I cleared the Blue gun with my Sencore CR70...just in case. Set was 1 month short of the 2 year warranty. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx ***************************************************************************** Classifieds!
