Problem turned out to be cracked board, only on top across about 5 traces. I tinned four of them with solder, the other with a thin lead and it works. I surprised myself. This unit has traces tops and bottom. The traces on tops are real minute that I new there was no way I could jumper across them. There was no way to find out where they went even with a print since I could not follow one of them. Scrapping the coating away and tinning the traces actually worked on this unit. I do have one problem left. On the right side of the carriage there is a lever with a spring. I can not figure out where the top portion of this spring gets positioned. There is a metal pin protruding, but it does not appear strong enough to support the tension from the spring and the cassette gets stuck during eject. I appreciate all the input thus far.
