Jeff; No print..but if it uses the SVI output IC, large IC in the center. There should be a couple of small transistor mounted to the same heat sink. These 2 transistors get cracked solder connection, should resolder both. Normally this will fix the problem. Word of caution...if you suspect the SVI IC....give a high estimate...these are very expensive, and my supplier will not give me any warranty on these, once they have been installed. Go figure...if you did have a bad one...how would you know without installing. But as a rule on these Technics...it's the two small transistors on that heat sink that give the problem, especially if no fuses are blown. -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, December 03, 2003 6:20 PM To: Techassist Subject: [TechAssist] TA Technics receiver SA5370(Panasonic)..No right channel sound I don't do much in audio, but this is for a member of our borough development committee and I told him I would look at it. This unit is probably 20 or so years old, but he wants it fixed. Unit came in with actually really low audio on right channel. Turn balance all the way and have some sound from the tuner. I have my 40(+/-) on the amps, but have trouble after that without a schematic. The rear fuse is fine as well as the speaker connectors. I'm not sure where to inject my audio signal to start testing. I tried checking components by comparing the similar ones on the left channel and got no where. Anyone have any ideas, or a print? Thank you.
