another possibility is the back tension band sometimes seperates and the supply
reel becomes sticky. just a thought,

It's twin,Citizen mod#JVHS3992,have the same problem.Upon ejecting there is a
small amount of tape left hanging out .The supply reel is not fully retracting
tape back into cassette holder.Replaced led,sensors,mode switch,belts,retimed
master cam gear,mode sw&they are right on.It seems the supply reel does not
want to make that extra couple of turns to completely retract tape back into
cassette holder.I've done a ton of these clones,but this one has me stumped.Any
