[TechAssist] Sub for STR-F6626/F3 JVC AV27F702

Hi guys!
I know it's a long shot but can a STR-F6626 be subbed for a STR-F6626/F3? I
certainly have tons of the STR-F6626 's in stock and I know I paid less than $5
for each but I jumped when I saw Tritronics have the /F3 listed for $29!
Probably the plain STRF6626 cannot be subbed for the STRF6626/F3 but I thought
someone may know the REAL answer.
Old regulator blew from a huge surge in a JVC AV-27F702 and also blew a 5.1
volt zener (of course, I don't have it!)...
