[TechAssist] Sony playstationII Plays some disk ok but says no data on others!

Hi Guys,
I'm starting to see some of these Sony play station II come in for
repair,
but Iam not to familiar with them yet.
Customer says it will play some of his game cd's fine but on other games it
comes up with no data, he can take the same game and play it in his friends
game and it plays ok, I tried cleaning the laser lens but it didn't help,
does anybody have some good tips or web sites to go to.
P.S. would it be a good Idea to start a folder on the tech site to start
placing tips and info about these unit?
