The only thing I could find was in my Sony ESI program. Copied below
Found bad evf flex cable pin 1 of CN851 on VF74 borad having intermittent
evf reg. voltage.
1-656-400-12 FLEX CABLE needs to be replaced

I have this sony that has nothing in the viewfinder.
It was in its day very high end but the customer is
reluctant to put much into it. I don't have the print
and really don't want to buy a print for something
unlikely to be in again. I hoped someone has seen
this trouble and can pass along some info.
DCRVX1000-all else works ok
