[TechAssist] Re: Sony TV KV-1920 - Dead - Followup - Final Request

Things slowed down a bit around the shop so I decided to take another peek
inside this oldie. Here's what I know...disconnected +B from Q902
(horizontal SCR), loaded +B down with a 60W bulb, switched TV "on" and fuse
F650 remains intact. Disconnect 60W bulb load, reconnect +B to Q902 and fuse
pops. Q902 is not a horizontal output transistor but a horizontal output
SCR, interesting. No shorts from gate to anode or cathode, etc. Previously
replaced shorted D806 (damper diode), recently replaced Q650 (crow-bar SCR)
and C850. What else should I be looking for? What did I miss? Thanks.

Not sure exactly what I need. The problem is this, D806 shorted, fuse F650
opened. Replaced D806 and F650, TV stayed on for 20 seconds before F650
opened, D806 remained intact. Also, found C807 changed in value from 330uf
to 380uf. I'm looking for circuitry reference to those components. I thank
you kindly sir!

David,
Sams shows 1455, 1627, and 1708 for that model. I have all of those
numbers. Which one and which section do you need. I can run a scan on the
portion you need.
