True enough, but it's function is base coupling.
The "culpret electrolytic" usually has the decoupling function located at
the "top" of the primary,  at the joint of the dropping resistor. The value
is generally 1uf or so...
This set doesn't  have it.
It turned out that I had a counterfeit H -out. Caveat Emptor!
